Professional
I have been working in the automotive field since 1981, when I started in applications engineering at Time Engineering. While at Time Engineering, I moved from applications to investigating robotic assembly operations, to product design. Except for a couple of jobs in the Defense Industry working on military vehicles, almost of my experience has been in automotive interior systems and components. As far as CAD systems, I have worked with Auto-Trol (a 2-D drawing package), PDGS (a 3-D wireframe modeling system), Pro-Engineer, Pro-Engineer 2000i, Pro-Engineer Wildfire (3-D solid modeling). I have also received training on Unigraphics and Catia V-5.
Most recently, I had been working as a member of the Chrysler team in the Mechanical Engineering Group of the Interior Instrumentation and Displays Buisiness Unit of Continental Automotive Systems, which designs automotive gauge clusters, from Prototype to Start-of-Production.
Military Service
After graduating from Fraser High School in 1975, I joined the United States Marine Corps. I am proud to say that I spent six years active duty in the Corps, being honorably discharged in 1981 as a Staff-Sargent (E-6).
I then spent one year in the Army Reserve, before joining the Navy Reserve in 1982. I spent the next seven years with NAS Sigonella 0573, stationed at Selfridge ANGB. In 1995 I received my Certificate of Retirement from the U.S. Navy as a Mess Specialist 1st Class (MS1).
